You are a very lucky man to have owned such a car. My first ride in a sports car was in a black Austin Healy 3000 with the electric overdrive. We drove to the Watkins Glen Grand Prix with my girlfriend and her brother driving. I sat on the transmission hump. Right up there with my ride in a Stearmna PT-17.

Larry,

The 12mm size TurboHeader does have the baffle when used on the .82. It retunes the chamber for the .82 displacement and is not needed on the .91 or 1.00. That is one of the original designs. The attached photo is the latest design.

Thanks Jim. I just sent you a email, but you just answered my question, so disregard the email. What is the current price for the latest design?

OK OF, lets make it even more unfair, comparo picture is of the 2.20 stock muffler and the 2.20 TH. The TH weighs exactly half as much as the stocker.

I have to reverse the carb on my Saito 82. Is there anything special I need to know about doing that so that I don't screw it up?

undo the two screws, swing it out to the left. Twist the carb around, swing back into position. Replace the two screws

Nope, there is nothing special to do.

Just back out the screws and flip it over. I had the same question the first time that I reversed the carb on my Saito .56

Gentlemen,

I am considering the FG-36 for a new project. Can any users offer any info such as fuel consumption, odd behaviors, etc. I have seen a few post that refer to the tuning being very touchy.

I have a FA-80 that I bought back in '89. Crashed it the same year when the ailerons jammed. I disassembled, cleaned, lubed, and reassembled it and put it in a box. The only apparant damage is the tube going from the carb to the head. I haven't flown anything since then but was thinking of getting back into it. Are parts for this motor still available? This engine had just a few hours on it and I'd really like to get it running again.

Thanks!
Mike

G'day OF. Well I ran the Saito FA90TS today. And does it sound nice? I put one tank through at about half throttle well rich at about 4000rpm then the next at 5000. I flick started it first flick both times. I have mounted it in my ARF Kadet Senior with the cowl off. It is not the easiest engine to set up as the carby is hidden behind the engine and very close to the firewall. It is also right in the centre line of the tank (which is good) but you can not run a straight push rod to it as a result. The standard flex exhausts are rather large and cumbersome and I think I will look for a better solution from Keleo or Turbo Header. The stock ones will be fine for the moment though. Hope the weather is OK on the weekend so I can get some air under the wings and see how it runs in the air. By its third run (which had to be short as some one turned up) it was running without glow power but still quite rich. In the first two runs it would drop a cylinder if I pulled the glow drivers off. Oops, I miss typed the Saito part number for the "muffler with pressure nipple" it is SAI100T174 or SAI170R374, I sure wish Horizon would add more technical info to parts, sizes, length and etc. Thanks

I need suggestons on what size fuel tank to use for a Saito 82. I was thinking a 10 oz would be about right assuming flying at about 1/2 throttle most of the time. I want about 10 min flight time and enough safety time for on the ground warm up and taxi to flight line etc.

Thanks
