Default Prop Question!?

Anyone tried a Menz(or other) 18X8 on a Super Tigre G2300?

Mine liked a Mejlik 16/8. it was on a IMAC type plane. 18/8 was too much.

I had a Mej. 18X6 on it... not to much by anymeans.. It turns 9200... Do you think a 2" increase in pitch will be too much

I run a 18x8 Zinger on my 3250. It's 1.99cu and the 2600 is a 1.40cu. I think your over proping it a bit.

Maybe I'll stick with the 18X6 then. The 2300 turns it at 9200 RPM with a good trail of smoke. No problem turning it.

Ice man have you ever herd of SKOREPA" brand wooden props? Dick Hanson likes them. I am going to try a few.

What muffler are you using and are you running a pump? Any problems getting the carb to meter an instant spool? I am debating on motors--was thinking about the OS1.6FX but the ST2300 is so much less. Are you running one of the newer ST2300's?
