I am ordering an engine in the next couple of days and I need some input. It's narrowed down to the Moki 1.35 or Webra Speed 1.20. I have noticed lots of notes in passing on these engines on this site but i need comparisons between the two. The engine will be going on a AKM 3D Freedom. I'm thinking the plane will be about 9 lbs. RTF. I need enough power for hovering and adequate pull-out. I need any comments you guys can offer...good or bad. If anyone thinks a larger engine would be in order....please let me know. Thanks in advance,
Mike

I own both, it depends on what you are going to use it for? The Webra is Lighter than the moki, but the moki has more power.
My Webra 1.20 turns a 16-8 APC at 8900-9000 rpms
Moki turns 17-8 APC 8900 rpms.
Both engines had brison pitts mufflers
Both on 5% nitro
If your plane is light I would keep it light and go with the webra
Webra seems to start alittle easier,

I owned a 120 webra and it was good from day one. It ran great and started with a flick of the prop.and would idle great. AS for the moki they might have more power but it takes a lot of fuel to break it in to run like the webra out of the box.

Hobbsy, I Got to agree with you some Webras are pretty good. I helped put a Frank Bowman piston ring in a Webra that from new did not want to hand start for lack of compression. That all changed with Franks piston ring! Capt,n[X(]

I'll say Webra too, mainly because i have 3 Webra's and they're great engines.
I'd also suggest the Webra 1.50.
The weight is not much different than the 1.20, infact it's lighter than some of the 1.20 models.

He's probably got his engine by now...seeing as the O.P. was almost 7 years ago...

I have a webra 120 and a Moki 135 (as well as a couple of 180's and 210's)
My webra runs strong but I never could get a clean midrange. It always loads up at half throttle.
The Moki's all run on no nitro fuel with an OS "F" plug, have lots of power and have been absolutely reliable. They do require a gallon of fuel for break in to get them reliable and continue to break in for another 3 to 4 gallons.
