Default Revive Enya 35 model 5224?

I recently came into possession of a box of old engines mostly CL. There are a couple of little cox engines a McCoy red head, an Enya 35, and another engine whos name escapes me right now. Soaked them in alcohol and every one of them now turns freely. The Enya is the most interesting one to me for RC use. The thing has great compression. It has a square carb with a throttle barrel so I guess that means it is an RC version. I'm not really sure. Anyway the needle fitting is broken. Does anyone have any idea where I might find parts for this carb? Any advise or insight would be most appreciated.

Someone posted Carol's number at Altech Marketing a while back. Maybe they will repost it for you, or you can do a search on this forum to find it. She will be able to help you, most assuredly. Enya's are fine engines and usually provide good performance for many decades. It sounds like you lucked out. The other engines that you mentioned also have a following in control line circles, although they do not fetch much money on the used market.

The Fox 40 BB also came with a square carb. check the parts express from tower hobbies under fox 40BB and the have a couple of parts listed. I will give you tower part numbers. these may or maynot fit. but it might be worth a try to at least look at.

LGX920 it is listed at 4.29 Like i said it may or may not work

If it's what I think it is, it is a lapped iron engine with baffle. Use a Fox idle bar plug and 100% castor oil fuel. Weighs about the same as a modern .25 and about the same power, but with a bigger prop. It will turn a 10-6 at just under 11,000 RPM.

My .35 is CL but here is a .40SS with an RC carb:

Wanted to get back and thank everyone for their comments. Seems I got real busy after the original post. Anyway, found a complete needle assembly on an auction site, bid on it and promptly went to sleep and missed out. At least they can be had. One day I'll get this thing running and see what kind of power it puts out. It should be something else on a .25 size.

I've got a ball raced Enya 35 with the square intake and (unusually for me ) it's also got the RC carb. The needle set up is similar to some of the earlier OS carbs where the fuel nipple is part of the needle valve body but the OS uses a much smaller diameter thread to go into the carb body. If you can't get the Enya needle and have access to a few tools then an adaptor could be made so the OS needle would fit (external thread to suit the Enya carb and internal thread for the OS needle valve).

Assuming yours is the plain bearing version, my Enya chart shows that the RC version has .6HP with a rev range of 2500-13000. The CL version has .8HP (larger venturi throat) and a useable rev range of 8000-16000. Use a 25% all castor fuel if possible and it'll last forever

Edit to add...I had a quick look at my Enya 45 and it seems to have the same needle as the 35.
