Default High performace 40 size engine

What would you recommend for a high performance 2 cycle 40 size engine? I am planning to put it on a Prince America HobbyStar (5.5lbs) until my son has soloed and then move it to my plane and give him my OS 46FX which is already installed. This is my chance to get a good engine for future planes because my wife gave me a blank check as long as I use it on my son's plane
Got to be creative to fund this hobby.

Well there are a few, but allot depends on what you are going to use it for.

If speed is what you want then look at the Webra 40Q, Nelson and Jett 40's.

If it's general performance you may want to look at the GMS 47, rather in-expensive and produces goobs of power, the TT46 - a good, strong engine without many problems, also look at the Super Tiger and OS.

But the real thing you have to determine is what application you are going to use it on, this will help decide what engine you are going to get.

Default Highest performance .40 size engine...

would probably be the Jett .60 Light or Nelson .50. Both are built in their respective .40 case so they are small and light. No one makes a finer product than these two. The workmanship and fitment are second to none, and they carry a price to match.

Both can configure the exhaust to your intended range of operation.

Have Fun!

Does Nelson have a web site? Where can I buy it?
Thanks for the info.
