Scotty,

Need to see a pic of the box. I believe the first were made in the late 60's and they are still in production today. If you have one in the hard plastic Jewel box and it's mint, they are worth about 90 bucks to a collector. Many of us are still flying them though.

The first Tee Dee .010's were released in 1960, I believe. They had gold anodized aluminum with red plastic tank and carb body.

I think the last regular production ones were made in about 2000, though they may make occasional runs of them. They had natural aluminum and black plastic parts.

There were a few accessories like a tankless mount and wrenches.

Tower is still selling them $65.99. The original red ones are worth something as a collector item The black ones are worth what a new one will cost. I bought a NIB black one for 25 bucks at a club swap meet. The original was released in 1961. The black one came out in the late 80's. It replaced the original which was discontinued in the early 80's. It was made black so you you couldn't pass t off as the early collector version.

HI Scotty,

You cox .010 is an early one as GBC noted. It could be worth somthing to a collector if you have all the origional packaging and accesories and they are in decent condition. I think the engine came with a fuel tank back plate (on the engine), a non fuel tank type back plate (fou use with an external tank), a wrench, a propeller, instruction sheet, and I've even seen some with small COX stickers. If all this came in a clear plastic jewel type box then it's one of the most sought after "tens". Most go for about 70 to 90 bucks on ebay.

You could also fly the thing. With todays micro gear there are pleny of options. Heres a pic of a Radical RC Micro stick I have with a COX .010

3 channel Elevator, Aileron, Throttle- (Thank you Mr. Adams)

Darren

PS Oooooopss, I just noticed in your origional post that you said you didn't have the instruction sheet. I'd be happy to mail you a set if you PM we with yor address.
