Default setup help os160 w/ vp30

Got Ultra RC Giles with tank back about 8-10" so it is over the CG. put on Perry pump per instructions (Taped center of backplate). cool power 10%. APC 18x6W. Moose can type tuned pipe. No cowling yet. We cant get a good running setup yet. Engine is used but in good shape. Ran perfect on big OMP 80" profile Yak, without pump.

What are your needles set at?

When I put the Perry pump on, I had to turn the low speed needle WAY in. It's been a whaile, but if I recall it was approx. either 5 full turns in, or 5 half turns in. I was quite amazed how much I had to lean it out on the low end to tune it properly.

I too had to set the idle needle several turns in. The high speed needle is usually set slightly less than one turn open. ALWAYS check the integrity of the pressure line (engine to pump). If the pump stops working while the engine is running it will run dangerously lean and possibly damage the engine.
