Default fly wheel leaks

I am struggling to start my infinity 18 engine which up to now has run great. Now all of a sudden nothing.Checked all the usuals however when i have been at it for sometime i notice that fuel leaks out from behind the flywheel. Is this caused by my struggling or is this leak perhaps the cause of my problems.
Cheers

Default RE: fly wheel leaks

Make up some soapy water in a spray bottle. Place a hose or rubber tube you can blow into and with the intake port open at carb and blocking off the exhaust. Blow some pressure into engine. If when you squirt the soapy water behind the flywheel you see bubbles....then you have a bad leak there. Pull flywheel and look for a seal that may need replacing. Good luck. Capt,n
