Default Carb adjustment

I have a K&B 40 that i am reassembling after cleaning. What would the base needle settings on the carb be. I need a starting point so i'll be in the ballpark.

Default RE: Carb adjustment

That would be the idle mixture screw right? What about the top screw on the carb. Is that the high speed adjustment?

Default RE: Carb adjustment

There's several different carbs on the K&B 40. None of which has a top screw that does anything but change the throttle minimum position in order to change the idle speed.
