Not sure what you mean by idle bar.

A few idea's you should try. Is the engine broken per direction supplied? If not, start over and do a proper breakin. Use an OS F plug, its the best available, you can experiment later. Use an APC or Master Airscrew prop for more of a flywheel effect. Run the top end 300 rpm rich of peak checked with a tach. set the low end for good transition a bit on the rich side. Test fly the plane if it dies on final or after you land, the bottom end is to lean, if not, try leaning the bottom 1/8 and test fly again. I don't know what your talking about concerning an Idle bar but if its an Idle bar glow plug, it has no business being on that engine. If all else fails, put it on a test stand and put the needles back to factory starting point and start over to determin if its a mechanical or tuning issue. Good luck

what i ment was the idle screw. i broke in the motor as per factory directions. this motor is mouted upsidedown on a hanger 9 pulse. the problem is that if i try to lower the idle below 3000 rpm, it stops. as i said before i put teflon on the srew that controls the low.

There's a low speed throttle position screw with a spring around it and there is a low speed fuel mixture screw inside the throttle arm pivot.
