Hey all,
I need to know how to build an engine test bed. Can anyone post pictures with a post too please? I need it mostly for a science project for how an internal combustion engine works. It would help with Civil Air Patrol too. If anyone could help, that would be awesome.
Thanks,

You can just take a 1X6 and cut a slot just the size of the bottom of the crankcase and drill 4 holes for the mounting screws. It know it will hold any engine up to a Saito 180 and cost nothing. If you need to test another size engine that is different in size just get out the ole jigsaw and cut another slot in the other end there you have it. No need to waste ungodly amounts of money on a test stand. The stand doesn't fly, so focus on spending the dollars on airplanes.

Here's an adjustable one.[sm=lol.gif] Seriously, I have a engine mount attached to the front of a sawhorse.

Me too. I have engine facilities on both ends of the sawhorse. I also have I-bolts in both ends of the stand where I connect a piece of chain to the stand and then run it to the chain link fence behind the test stand. My energetic .61 and larger sized engines are easily capable of pulling the sawhorse over without the restraining chain.
