Default Switching an engine from ring to ABC

Hi,
I am looking for information on switching a super tigre .61 from a ring to an ABC engine. Can I just buy the ABC piston and cylinder sleeve and drop them in my crank case and make this an ABC engine, or is there more to it? Thanks any input would be appreciated. Don

Usually it is that simple, if the manufacturer produced both types using the same identical case. Let us know!

Just break it in a little different with the ring. Pick up Dave Gierke's (spelling) book on model engines. It's the last thing you'll need on smaller glo engines_bob

From the ST documentation I have it does appear that you can convert a G61 ringed to a G61 ABC via the method you asked about. The specs they give for both engines are identical except the power ratings is slightly higher for the ABC at a slightly higher RPM. Better check very closely about this conversion before you spend the money. Give Hobby Services a shout and see what they have to say about it.
