Default Nice...

This is one of the best sport engines made- It has a built in fuel delivery system that is sweet

It is usually used for speed planes (Patriot, Magnum, F-20 etc..) but I have heard good things about fun-flys with these motors-

Run 20/20 fuel (Synthetic), OS-8, and any prop from a 9 x 9 up* The sweet spot on my Lanier F-4 is a 10 x 7 (This is for speed tho.) Dunno RPM's check:

You have the stock muffler or the pipe?

This is by far the best engine I have ever owned- (No I have not has a Jett YET )

One of the really nice things about the YS 2-stroke engines is that they don't require high nitro or oil to run properly. I know several people who have run the .45 on standard sport 10% for several years without a single issue. This engine likes to turn up, and will be happy with anything up to and including an 11X7 if the pipe is set right. They run well on a muffler, OS 60 FSR muffler matches perfectly but I'm sure there are others as well, but they really come alive with a pipe.

Happy flying,
John

Any .45 that can turn an 11X7 at 13K RPM has very good torque. How it does with the muffler, I honestly can't say. Everyone I know that has one of these engines was too tickled with the pipe to ever consider going back to the muffler.

I'm running the .45 se on a small low winger. I have the Macs black muffler on it and it turns an APC 11X6 in the mid 12k range. Very reliable on 15% Omega fuel and OS#8 plugs.
