Default ? Cox .049 Engine

I have three .049 engine and I have such a hard time to start them, they are all the same wen I start them cold, I have to use a needle and put a couple of drop of fuel on the cylinder, I do that a couple of times be-for it starts, some times 10 times. Do any one have a few hints for me on the proper way to start a .049 engine.

Thanks!

1/2a engines like nitro. try 30% nitro and i bet it starts easier. I fly mine on 15% and it can be hard to start at times.

Fuel draw is a problem with these engines. Primming is the real trick. A hot glow starter is needed too. And like MSCIC said, they like a lot of nitro. I started using an electric starter on mine and is sure works good! A lot better than flippin!

I always set the needle valve about 1/2-1.0 turn rich, then they start with less priming, then, lean it out!
