What is the best way to get baked on fuel off of an R/C engine?

Take off the Carb and block the hole and exhaust port then Soak the motor in Water and Biological washing power it works fantastic, but PLEASE remember to block off the ports first!!

Give the motor a realy good oil with after run oil after in case any water gets in.

Use a crock pot and antifreeze.
Disassemble the engine and put in only metal parts you want cleaned. Cook for 8-24 hours and you should be done

Yup, just do exactly as Geistware sez....'cept one more thing...go to the thrift store to buy your crockpot...they only cost a few bucks and you can NEVER use it to cook food in again.
Paint it, mark it with skull and crossbones to let anyone (like the wife) know to never ever use it for food again.
Nothing works better than regular green antifreeze...don't even bother with the red stuf.
G'luck,
Mike

Default Yep...Mike is RIGHT on track as usual!

...further...

Use low temp...high will discolor the aluminum. Also, 50/50, antifreeze/water, seems to work just a tad better than pure antifreeze...at least it does for me. When you want to "cook" your engine tear it all down and slip it into the "bath" EXCEPT for the piston and sleeve...DON'T cook them! There is a residual of burnt on oil/etc., on these parts that is beneficial...you DON'T want to remove it...it is what will make these parts last longer/work better!

Outside of that, happy crockpotting.

Lastly, I forgot to mention to rinse the engine off with either fuel or water then follow with WD40. I prefer the fuel or alcohol route. You can buy a lot of alcohol for $5 and you need to make sure all the crude is out of the engine.
