Hi!
There isn't any difference!! Go ahead use one! Same exact throttle action and same power (at least not much difference if you are used to high performance pylon racing engines).

They turn higher RPMs and aren't as good at changing speeds, but it'll work.

W8ye is correct, they have a shorter crankshaft that can lead to troubles fitting a prop, washer and nut correctly.
Also the carbs are optimized for mid range rather than high end, but other than that they work like any other model engine.

my wera speed 32 heli. and 32 speed aroe have all the same part numbers exseped the head and the crank. even the carbs are the same. the crank is short on the heli and the head is huge. but for the most part they are the same.
thats just the webras. some of the os heil carbs have a midrang ajustment. c-crunch

Most small .28-.35 engines are often the same with only slight differences between airplane and heli applications. Modern heli engines .50 and larger have become specialized for higher rpm and richer mid range mixture than their airplane equivilent . Heli engines .61-.91 are very fast on an airplane when a tuned pipe is used.

You will have trouble if the crank is too short for props.
