It takes the OS #703 muffler. There's usually one up for auction you know where.

I found some fiber washers at my local hardware store that fit inside the #703 absolutely perfectly. They really cut down on the noise and seems to help the idle, too. I'll post some photos later. I have two Max .25's of that same series.

The .15, .20, and .25 take the #702 muffler. The .30, .35, and ,.40 are fitted with #703.

The hard one to locate is the #704, I need two of these myself. They go for more $$ on fleabay than I wish to spend......

well about as soon as you said it, i found one..............................funny thing about Ebayers, they bid against themselves the whole time an item is up for auction................really defeats the purpose of getting something for a good price. just drives the price up.
i like to drop the hammer 5 seconds before the auction ends, but i see folks bumping a bid by 10-20 bucks just minutes before an auction ends............and then if that's not funny enough, some items go for more than you can buy for new...

Oops! your right rcdude7!! What was I thinking.

I have two 703's, one is on my max .50. Two of my four #702's are on my .25's.

I just saw a #704 go for around $25, I think, but it was missing the strap. I also want one of these.

My .25's run great. I'm building a Midwest Tri-Squire that will be covered with silk and dope. One of these will go in the nose.

I just listed this a few minutes ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE:IT&ih=012

Started the bidding @ .99, I'm curious to see how many bidders will be clubbing each other over the head to get it.

Last second bidding on ebay is called sniping and there was even a program available to do it automatically. It would bid a couple of seconds before the end of the auction just above the last bid.

Those OS mufflers are all over the place. Try collectos, EEEbay, or join Meca. I have several of each and many that are with their original engine.
