Default Inverted or Side mounted Engine!

HI All!
I want to mount a ST75 on my new Model (YAK-3, W/S is 65 inch weigth is at 4.5 kg) and was thinking ......... is it worth to mount the engine inverted??

Considering all the problems that this will have?? Or is it better to have the Head stiking out of the Cowling.

Since it is a War bird and true to scale!

Any tips since I have never had an inverted 2 stoiker.

Regards

Erick!

Default Inverted or Side mounted Engine!

Hi,

All engines made for airplanes are build the way that they can work in any position.

I have 8 airplanes, engines in all kind of positions (side, uspsidedown, straight).

Never had any problems.

But if you needles are not set right, you engine will not work good in any positions !

(sorry for my bad English)

Amen ............... but IMHO I think you'll have fewer starting problems with a horizontally mounted engine when compared with an inverted one, especailly a two storke engine. Not counting the headache of trying to start the inverted engine with the plane upside down then righting it.
