RE: JBA .56
I think there will be no more BlueArrow series available other than stocks in hand of sellers now.Kangke already has no JBA 56 s now.Next batch strongly will be F series then.

RE: JBA .56
The folks at http://www.kangkeusa.com are the official JBA distributor, so if they don't have them yet they are likely not available here in the States.
You could call or e-mail KangkeUSA and find out if they have them and/or when they might expect the F-series engines. Considering the performance of the "regular" JBA .56 I purchased, I wouldn't be too worried over which series they shipped me. My older style JBA .56 is pretty sweet.

RE: JBA .56
Umm, I'm not sure I have a photo of it in flight. I installed it in a Model Tech Magic Formula 3D. It was set a little too lean on the initial flight, so I landed it for retuning. On the second flight, I made the mistake of flying full throttle while level with a 12x5 prop and the tail started fluttering. The horizontal stabilizer tore itself out of the fuselage before I could chop the throttle.
I managed to save the plane and land it successfully. I haven't taken the time to try and repair the fuselage, however.
In any event, I may need to find a new home for my JBA .56.

RE: JBA .56
I just sent an email to kangke inquiring of the F series. We'll see.
My interest in the F series lies mostly in the swept-back needle. There is one on my tt pro .46 and I prefer it to the standard or remote incarnations. Plus, I would likely try it in my h9 mustang pts where the cowl is already cut for the swept-back needle of the the tt pro.

RE: JBA .56
Based on biged's suggestion, I emailed kangkeusa. I've pasted the response, along with my question, below. I'm still working on my interpretation but there are several possibilities. At least they responded in a timely manner.
Dear Rodney
Sorry we don't have in stock for the JBA.56 engines, new container come here about three month later, if you have any question? please contact us again. thanks and have a good day!

I've seen jba .56 F engines for sale on websites from
countries outside of the u.s.a. If and when will this
engine be available in the u.s.a? I'm especially
interested in it since it has a swept back needle valve.
Thanks, Rodney

RE: JBA .56
I wonder if there might not be some "issues" over the design of the new series. Not technical issues but problems with the way they so closely resemble the new AX series from OS. Maybe the US importers don't dare to risk a prosecution if the JBA engines are *too* similar to the AX.

I have new F series JBA 56 F. It has f type new carb. That carb is truly different from old type.It has very different working. Also low speed needle has very, very narrow play so should have very sensitive fingers to adjust. No joke. But very strong engine. Also F type engine has some differences from old engines.

Nice video, Turk.
I'll bet you see a great improvement in top end after removing that long tube from the exhaust pipe.
How are the JBA engines holding up?

Hi Ed, sure it was.But as you can see, in room I have to keep such a water/big bottle system to be able to run.I didnt try to reach top end.Only I was enjoying because of the weather,I couldnt fly for a long time.
I cant understand what you mean to hold up.If you mean to stop it,that engine has no problem with stopping from Tx.

I meant how well is the engine breaking-in and does it look as though it will last a long time.

But because of some glue faults at tailfeathers ,I have to ended the day.
Engine has great power and good response to throttling.New type F carbs seems better than classic ones.Best for me is no side play of barrel at all(so no spring to compansate). It is rather screamer side comparing SK bros.It takes my 2,7 kg plane vertical, continuous roll with 11-8 APC.(Still richer more than enough adjustment).I impressed the suction of engine when I trying to find LSN adjustment by blowing into carb with a piece of fuel line from carb inlet. In a good idling adjustment It has quite a resistance to my blows.

RE: JBA .56
Hi all:
Here are the rpm numbers obtained on my test and review made one year ago:
With standard muffler JBA-P-BOX:
APC 10x6: 15.070
Master Airscrew 11x6 : 13.980
Master Airscrew K 12x4: 13.920
Profi 10x8 : 13.680
APC 11x7: 12.260
Graupner SONIC 14x7: 9.000
APC 12.25/3.75 : 12.930
APC 14/4W : 11.090
Without muffler:
APC 12.25/3.75:13.050 rpm
APC 14/4W: 11.130 rpm
With JBA pitt's style muffler:
APC 12.25/3.75: 12.990 rpm
APC 14/4W: 11.310 rpm
With MAC's 1943 pipe and header (for a .46 engine):
APC 12.25/3.75: 13.800 rpm
APC 14/4W: 11.250 rpm
With O.S. P-BOX (E-3020):
APC 12.25/3.75 12.510 rpm
APC 14/4W 10.460 rpm
With Tower Hobbies muffler:
APC 12.25/3.75: 13.060 rpm
APC 14/4W: 11.150 rpm
All with same fuel (10% nitro), ENYA 3 plug .
I'm the Spanish Service Center and support for JBA engines, hundreds of JBA F series of engines sold here and NONE comes with faillure. All engines i've done service was with user troubles with needles adjustment. Unfortunatelly, low needle does not comes adjusted from factory, and beginners doesn't know how to play and adjust well.
Now i'm testing the new JBA 56HR and (more than six months) the JBA 4 stroke, that really seems a clone of YS 63

RE: JBA .56
Hola, can I ask you, even I am using OS 8 and no nitro fuel and I am having some crackling sounds at full throttle if I use 11-6 prop. What does that sound mean?
