A friend of mine has one of these. It pooped out on him after the second tank of fuel, throwing oil. RCV had him send it to a repair facility in the USA. They returned it in a couple of months. We got it running a couple of weeks ago. It showed some compression "pop" while warm after ~1/2 gal of fuel thru it. Ran pretty good, idled at ~2600 rpm. Had to use a starter to get it going.

Now that it's cooled off it has little "pop." No way it will hand-start. My pal is discouraged about the thing. I told him to put it in the model and fly it, since it idled steadily and had a decent transition. He is hesitant to risk his new GB Tiger.

What are the experiences of others who have acquired this engine??
