I didn't realize that the discussion under the abouve subject was a manufactures only fourm, So I started this one to continue it. My last post to the above follows. I just added photos of the package tag from that stack.

Bax, you are wrong. I purchased a stack from tower a month or so back that was listed in teh 56 parts and I installed it on my O.S. 52 Carb, which has the same part number for the body. They are both "N" carbs. The 56 version in addition to the stack has a different barrel which changes the mix ratio in the mid range some. I haven't seen the parts list for the 81 yet, but I'm betting money that the same situation exist there where the carb is based on the 70's carb.

You're right on the money! The 70 surpass shares the same carb body as the new FS81 p/n 44082100. So the velocity stack should fit.

W8ye, does it do a good job of preventing the spit back?? I haven't had a chance to mount mine and try it yet.

Kind of curious, I just checked the manufactures list and Bax must have removed this topic. No response either. Bax, if you are reading this, there wasn't anything personal, just pointing out the facts.

Don

Edited to fix some really bad spelling
