46 engine trouble
Today I decided to break out the old twin, its been about 6 months since I have flown it. I flushed out the carbs with fresh fuel and then started them up. At low rpm's they ran pretty good but as soon as I would get close to full throttle the motors would die, even once at the exact same time...So I put in fresh glow plugs and started over nd still the same results..
What should my next steps be?
Thanks in advance

Spam,
There must be some kind of obstruction in the fuel path...
Start with the pressure nipple on the muffler and check for free flow from the clunk to the carburettor jet.
Congealed oil in the fuel system, in engines that were in storage, is very common.
Start the easy way, by opening the main needle about 2 turns more, to see if you can get it to run rich.
If you can, the problem is virtually solved and you will only need to make readjustments.

That is correct, Brian.
As often, I err by not thoroughly reading the whole question...
Even though congealed oil can similarly affect both engines, the similarity is more likely to be the result of the hygroscopic property of methanol. Too much water absorbed in the fuel...
