Weird LA .40

my os La .40 has a metal needle valve holder like the .65
when all the other .40 la's have the plastic ones.
I know its not a big deal just found it kind of differnt.

That engine is 1.5 years old. (about)
so I dont think so.
That is what makes it strange.
bought it in a plane engine combo.
Yes the carbys are very small
but they are cheap
great for combat beaters and trainers

That's normal nowadays with the LA .40. The original plastic remote needle valve was too easy to break, and O.S. has since made the metal bracket standard on it's engines. Most likely the engine was in a crash at one time or another, and the owner put the metal one on, or depending on when O.S. implemented the metal version, it came like that.

Oh, I thought you meant you bought it from someone in a combo. You must have got it right when O.S. started building them like that. Then again Tower could have done it.
