I'm looking to install a Mark or Dave Patrick Models 2.10 glow engine in a 1/5 scale GS Top Flite P-51 warbird and would like some advice..... It appears that both of these engines are available.... and that the DPM version is tuned for nitro use..... Any advice on either of these engines? I'm not even sure if DPM is still in busineess.

The Mark version runs just fine on 5% nitro as I'm sure the DPM will. Get the one that is lowest price and easy to get. Probably the Mark.

Mark, it seems, also sells their engines directly through *bay. I just recieved a 2.10 from them for $202 shipped. I don't know why they do this when Hobby People is the US importer. The engine came shipped to me from canada. It is the latest updated version, they claim.

I love my Mark 2.10. I bought it used. Runs great and very reliable - 5% nitro fuel. I thought the DavePatrick was the same thing with a different name. Maybe DPM lowers the compression (with a shim) to allow the use of higher nitro.
