Default how to remove a saito prop hub

Hi,

I need some suggestions as to how to remove a Saito FA-91 prop hub.

I need to replace the bearings.

Do I need a Puller?

Default prop hub

No puller needed. Just a big HAMMER will do.

I just removed the hub from my Saito 1.5 yesterday, and I can't believe how tight this thing was, best way to do it is by using a puller, if you don't have one, do yourself a favor and buy one, you will use it in the future, now, you can try with the puller at first, but if doesn't budge, if you have a torch, preheat the shaft and hub area, now, no need to make this area cherry red, just hot, then use the puller, if you don't have a small torch, put the engine in the oven for a little while, then use the puller.

If you use heat try to keep the heat on the hub and not the shaft. The purpose of the heat is to expand, and what you want to do is expand the hub bore so it will slide off the shaft. Heating the shaft sort of cancels out the advantage except for the fact that aluminum expands more than steel at the same heat.

Thanks for the suggestions,

First, I have broke the battery terminal puller. Then I try it with heat and another battery terminal puller and it brokes again.

Then I purchased a 3 inches puller, modify the 3 hooks and finally I did it. It was really, really tuff.

Thank you
