Are the mvvs engines the 49 in particular an" every day flying "engine?.There was a discussion at my field that these engines becomes hot very easily and quickly theafore prohibiting how long you can you can stay in the air.

I doubt that one that is broken in, tuned, and set up correctly will run hot. Sure if you run them too lean with too much nitro, they will run hot.

They are an everyday engine for a experienced modeler but they are not a beginners engine unless you have someone set it up for you.

Maybe they are a little bit more complicated to tune than other engines, but with new carburetor it is not a big problem.

I fly them with no nitro and never had a problem with overheat.
