ScottMcM,

You might want to consider a Magic Muffler type mini pipe such as the Jett Stream, MVVS3253, Ultra Thrustor even a home made moussecan type. Theseoffer a broader range of rpm boost along with better throttling response. Some report as much as 1400 rpm boost (in high rpm engine setups) with these types of exhausts. You would surely get several hundred more rpm.

The nice things about the MVVS item, are its relative low cost and the fact that the header will fit unaltered onto the Fox's exhaust stack.

The JettStream and the UltraThrust need/offer an adapter, since their design is for bolt-through mounting, yet are a rigid, 'one-piece' setup; while the MVVS mounts with a silicone couple, like a normal tuned-pipe.

Is your engine a eagle 4? is it ABC or ringed?what carb? Two needle or EZ (airbleed single needle)?

Mike
According to the box ( and I hope it's the correct box), it is a 26600 Fox Eagle "60" BB Ring Schnuerle....is that the Eagle 4?? It has the two needle carb. When I originally got this engine (along with a bunch of other rc stuff), it was in a box that read Fox rear exhaust, and I thought that's what it was, since the exhaust was facing the rear. Then I noticed that the cooling fins were not runnng parallel with the airflow. I'm guessing that someone turned the cylinder on a standard Fox side exhaust. I turned it back to the original side exhaust, and decided to sell it. I figured i'd better test-run it, just to be sure. It sounded like it was turning some pretty good rpms, so I decided to get the tach....sure enough 11500-11700 with a master airscrew 12x8....I figured I had a "keeper". And now you know "the rest of the story"

You may have better luck with lower nitro fuel. There are some guys up in Canada I think, that are Fox guru's.  They even have a book, Fox out of the box.  Try to get in touch with them.  They will know EVERYTHING about your engine.</p>
