...Lest the witch takes you away...
Mliljedl,
Non of them is the best engine, is the answer to your "which".
SC, Magnum and ASP are reputedly made by one Chinese company, while GMS is made by another.
They are mostly (I believe the new Magnum XLS .52, .49, .91 are exceptions...) far from Webra, MVVS, Irvine, Rossi, Enya and some high ranking OS. As far as everyday engines are concerned.
I am not even talking about Nelson, Jett and the like.
I have also seen rumors that SC is being dropped as a name, since it is identical to ASP and Magnum.
Re-badging changes nothing.
Sincerely,

Magnum 2 strokes are every bit as good as the FX series. I have 6 of them, and they all idle great, transition clean, and scream as fast or faster than the same size fx. Mag's are true ABC while FX's are ABN. That means the Mag's should last longer. They'are no MVVS, Rossi,. . . . Just an easy to adjust, strong alternative to OS.

The GMS has more power than the older XL series of Magnum. The new XLS series magnum looks like a OS FX series engine and runs like one also. The XLS is only available as 46's, 52's, & 91's right now. The Magnum XLS52 looks more like a GMS but the ASP 52 looks more like a OS 50SX.
Even the older XL series of Magnums are nice engines. They are easy to start and adjust. They are just a couple hundred rpm short of what the GMS will do.
Enjoy,
Jim

GMS/SC
I really like my new GMS 1.20. Only one gallon of fuel through it and it pulls harder than my Webra 1.20 and is much easier to tune for reliable idle and mid-range. I am thinking seriously of buying another to replace the Webra on my GP G202.
