Default MOKI 180

Hello,

I received today a MOKI 180 glow. I´ve read that this engines should not be runned with only synth oil. But in all my 2 strokes ringed or not I use 18% KL200 with excelen results.
Has anybody experience with this engines??
Also, what glowplug should i use? I can get OS here.

many thanks for any advice.
Carlos

They were designed for at least some castor oil

I have been flying the MOKI 1.35 for several months. First I did some research on fuel recommendations. You should use fuel with at least 5 percent castor oil and a total oil content of not less than 18 percent (20 percent during break-in). Another thing....the MOKI (MARK) engines are designed to operate on low nitro or no nitro fuel. I am having excellent results running 5 percent nitro, 10 percent castor, 10 percent Klotz synthetic. I get more reliability using a glow plug with an "idle bar". The OS Type F 4-stroke glowplug also works well. One more thing: Don't try to squeeze the last RPM from the engine by running it lean. I set my engine for a rich 2-cycle and leave a nice smoke trail in the sky.
Regards
JC

many thanks,

I´ll use that 10 castor 10 KL200, that´s not a problem since I mix it at home.
The thing is that I´ve heard only that Moki are excelent engines but didn´t knew anything about fuel or glowplugs.
In my engines I look for reliability and power, not peaks of rpm so I run always a bit rich, yes with smoke trail.

Regards,
Carlos

MOKI (MARK) delivers plenty of both.
