Super Tiger 75 Muffler

There's nothing inside but a baffle and this can be removed from the outside.
calapse and fold the baffle from the muffler outlet and remove through the inlet. This ruins the baffle and it cannot be re-installed.
The muffler is crimped together in the middle and it will destroy the muffler to loosen the crimp to take the muffler apart.
The pop rivet holds the baffle

Something is loose inside the muffler and as a result it is blowing a rather dark aluminum colored stuff along with the oil residue. I removed the muffler and two washer like items dropped out. NO the gunk is not from the engine. I ran it on another ST75 that I have and it blew the same colored gunk over the wing.
W8 I can see nothing to calapse. Looking in the exhaust outlet I can see what must be the baffle. If I remove the pop rivet will this allow the baffle to be removed ?
Thanks guys for your response

I used to have a lot of 61 and 90 size Super Tigers
The 90's, I took the baffles out. I used a steel rod from the rear to more or less fold the baffle so it could be pulled from the inlet with needle nose pliers.
The baffle is loose in your muffler and that's what the noise is. The washers probably came from the rivet.
If you can remove the baffle and the rivet is still tight, leave it there.
If the rivet is removed, it will have to be replaced.

W8 Thanks for the info. I have looked again and the baffle is loose. I can see it. I drilled the rivet out and now the problem is to fold the baffle to get it out.
Problem is solved. Thanks very much.

As they say"If there is a will there is a way" Got that puppy out per your instructions. I twisted and turned and bent a dozen times and the baffle finally gave up and broke in two pieces. Going to tap the rivet hole and screw in a bolt with lots of JB weld. I really appreciate you help. Thank You very much
