I am new to Nitro RC's. I bought a new Tamiya TNX 5.2r and I'm not sure how to start it.
This is what I do:
fill tank
prime engine (covering exhaust and pulling chord)
putting on glow starter (the batteries work)
try to pull the chord
When I pull the chord it is too hard to pull. I'm pretty sure my problem isn't flooding because Iemptiedthe fuel tank and removed all of the fuel
then I tried again, I stopped priming right when the fuel touched thecarburetor, but whenever the glow plug is tight, it is too hard to pull.
any help?<br type="_moz" />

Loosen the plug a 1/2 turn or so to relieve compression. Then put your glow igniter on, and pull it. It will be much easier, and if fuel is in the chamber, it will fire. Once it's running, remove your glow igniter and tighten it up.
It may die after you remove the igniter because of how rich it is for break it. In this case, use the glow igniter to tighten the plug as best you can.
If your unsure if there's fuel in the motor, take the glow plug out and rip the cord. You should see a mist or droplets fly up. If it's flooded..you'll see lots of them.
Is the needle open to the recommended setting?
