Ok do they really work? Is OS the only one out there? Any input greatly appreciated
Thanks Bud

[link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXD741]Dubro Makes one [/link]that is half OS's price. Yes they do work. Made from sintered bronze.

Walbro also makes them. You can get them at most chainsaw dealers

They certainly work. I've watched them extract all the liquid from a foamed up tank of fuel without a single bubble in the fuel line.

I have heard that the felt type chainsaw/weedeater/blower in-tank clunk/filter also keeps bubbles out of the pickup line. Is this true, or only the sintered bronze?

Thanks.

I have used both the OS and the Dubro and the OS is better at flow rate, drawing up the last drop of fuel and bubble reduction. I used them on piped .91 engines and 46 ducted fan engines with excellent results. Yes the OS clunk costs too much, but I'll pay it if I want the best. After all, Dubro calls theirs a filter, not bubbleless clunk

The felt jobs will prevent bubbles from getting in the fuel line also

Ryobi, Walbro, Tillotson, and a host of others all produce clunks with capillary action to keep the whole clunk surface wet until all fuel in the tank is gone.
They can be sintered bronze, sintered plastic or felt. I like the felt clunks best because of their huge dirt capturing capacity and soft touch against the tank wall.
The plastic sintered materials I like least. I had a few that clogged quite soon. (fuel gum)

thanks for all the good replies. I guess I'll have to try them. I have a couple of planes that the tanks are tight and no room to pad them from vibration. I end up with some bubbles in the fuel line at full rpm. Maybe one of these clunks will help
Thanks Bud

I cannot find felt clunks at Tower; does anybody know where to buy them from?

This one is big enough for our needs but will be cheaper at other places. The street price for these is closer to $3 in other brands

Thank you guys.

Sorry I forgot to ask before, are these suitable for glow fuel?

I don't have gas engines, for which these clunks seem to be intended.

Again, thanks.
