Default Ys91ac ?

After several years of having this engine I finally started it up.
My problem is that when going down to idle at a certain point it starts going faster again. You can not kill the engine. The lowest the idle will go is around 3 or 4 thousand, I must be doing something wrong

Default idle problem

sounds like you might have a leak around the base of the carb...does it have an o-ring around the bottom? check for leaks with wd 40 or some other type of spray oil if it is leaking it will slow down for a second then speed up again

good luck

The only time it changes speed is when I move the throttle. Below half throttle it starts speeding up again

rhd,

1) Check and clean your diaphragm.

2) Make sure that your regulator screw is flush with the housing.

3)Make sure your idle stop screw is allowing your throttle to fully close.

Let's start with these measures first and let us know what happens.

Good Luck
Azhar

I tried everything. I even called YS. They said it was some kind of air leak. I can't seem to find one. I am sending it back to them. Thanks for the help

more than likely your O rings in and around your air chamber are cracked from being dry. The simple thing to do is get an O ring set from Central Hobbies. Best $20 you'll ever spend!

Thanks guys,
I got it fixed. One of the valve guides was pushed out of it's o-ring a little bit. Runs like a champ now. Time to go fly.
