Hi, hopefully moki owners are still reading this, I'm at a loss trying to get my 210 glow engine to run.
so last season the engine was troublesome, difficult to start, and would cut out every flight. I shelved the model losing too much flying time trying to get the 210 to behave
this month it was time to sort it once and for all. I've changed all the lines, and got 1/8 for the carb line. Raised the tank to the same level as the intake, moved the tank up to the firewall. Removed carb cleaned, found crap by the spraybar the might have caused an issue, replaced all o rings. I was confident it would be sorted, its worse. Bottom end disc is centred, 3 turns out on top needle, it fires on the prime, then cuts out. Ive tried a small richening of bottom end, and tried opening up the top end, no difference. Plug is enya 3 and is fine, muffler pressure nipple is clear
I noticed on priming, full throttle and thumb over intake it's getting fuel, but not exactly flooding. Engine is on its side, cylinder is exposed out of cowl . No pump, tank is close to engine, and it was fine previously. What can i try now?
thanks

See my post #34 above for some ideas. I'm still running large Moki's but now making my own FAI (o% nitro) fuel, most recently in a 1/4 scale clipped wing Cub

. My old recommendations still apply.

Thanks
think I've covered it all. I'm not original builder, but I know the builder well, he doesn't fly much, this engine never gave him any trouble. I'm thinking if it runs on the prime, and all carb parts are checked and good, it could be fuel delivery?
the original fuel line was coloured, you could not see fuel flow, the new line is clear, i can see when priming there is an odd air bubble. The tank usnt leaking the clunk is good, the tank is pretty much at correct height, im missing something!

Sound like you might have holes in the fuel line outside the tank. Replace that line and see if it still has bubbles during the prime. Does the engine just quit when applying throttle, or does it billow white smoke? If it just quits, move the idle knob toward the + side. If it billows white smoke, move the idle knob toward the- side. I used Cool Power 5% to run my Moki 210. They take at least 5 tanks of fuel before they will throttle up without sagging. Hope this helps...

No smoke at all. The fuel line is brand new 1/8 and I used 1/8 I'd brass rod through the bung, then same in tank, amd ensured the clunk was clean and free. Ive got thin foam under and over the tank, it is a tight fit though. When trying to throttle when it starts has no effect, if i let it fast idle, or try to throttle it dies. Tried 2 turns on top needle, then 3 and 4, even 5! I keep going back to the bubbles can't see if they are relevant or where they are coming from, I'm not that good with engines unfortunately!
