RE: WACO YMF
Hello,
I rescued a mystery Biplane from the RC club house trash approximately 2 weeks ago. The only thing that seemed wrong with it was that the previous owner was not going to finish it. The plane did not have any instructions or plans. I need to build the following items. Lower wing ailerons, Rudder, and Elevator.
I looked around and found that it was a Pica 1/5 scale Waco and I found this site.
Angel, Bill, and John - Thank you - for giving me the lead the other day regarding contacting one of the other members for plans for my Waco and paint scheme's.
In order to document the building of the plane I started reading the information on the site on post number 1. I am now up to post 5951 (little less that half way to the end). I have been collecting the information that I need for my construction on a site called evernote.com. http://www.evernote.com/pub/ororaf/ororafsnotebook Feel free to use the links.

bill,
sorry to hear of the situation your in, yes it is a no brainer. many of my fellow vfw members have had this proceedure and it is a god send. GOOD LUCK!!!
if you can would you answer one question before things start to happen. when you installed the adjustable stabilizer, how well did the bird fly, what problems were encountered. yes i know one question requiring a two part answer. i'm thinking (not a good thing) of installing it in my barth.[X(][X(]

An update on ol Stickbuilder's health issues. I went to see the Cardiologist yesterday and got some good news and some that is not so good. The good news is that The recent heart attack (December 10) did not cause more damage than was already done to my heart (June 03). The bad news is that the bypasses have not improved the circulation and the discharge ratio, which is still at about 35%. Since the discharge ratio is so low, he is concerned that I will have cardiac arrest, and wants me to have a miniature defibrillator installed. Without it, an experience of cardiac arrest will be >95% fatal. With it, the same arrest would be <2% fatal. Guess what I'm going to get put in. This one is a no brainer, but I'll be out of commission for a few days. It is going to happen in the next couple of weeks (the scheduling nurse is working on that), so I'll keep you informed.

Bill, when I was in hospital right after being wheeled out from having a stent inserted the old guy (72) next to me was recovering from having a fib inserted and he was as fit as a fiddle and giving me encouragement. I am sure all will go just as well for you. Best of luck.

I got the schedule today. I have to pre-register on the 26th, and the surgical procedure will be done on Wednesday the 1st of June at 1000 hours CDT. I am supposed to be discharged the next morning. Thank you all for your concern and well wished.

Good Luck Bill. You will be back in shape in no time. Thank you for the help you gave me the other day. I am now up to page 304 or post 7576 of the forum. Just finished looking at your dummy engine build.

Looking good mogman, sure wish I could afford a Moki, I keep telling the family how much I want one but a Xmas & a birthday have passed and no Moki. After looking at the javelin I decided that the solid stainless flying wires had to give way to 2mm flexible stainless wires. Drilling the 2.1 hole up the stainless steel couplers was a bit of a challenge but finely got them done and swagged to the wires. Then the exciting bit was drilling the holes in the javelin in the correct place and at the right angles, a bit of trial and error but once again we got there in the end. I will wind cotton around the wires to attach the javelin as per the full scale. The javelin and the wires will remain attached to fuselage. Will post a couple of photos
