Ya. I usually worked up an order to pick up when they exhibited at the Toledo Show, but they have been MIA the last couple of years.

Partial, true, but from what I'm told it has the ribs, fuse formers, N-struts, plastic sheets, wires and LOTS of sticks, (it's definitely a Pica). Only thing confirmed missing is the bump cowl. Worst case it can be spares for #1, but intend to build in all the fixes and mods I found needed on that one and could not complete, (for example, different N-strut attach setup) and add float points.

I'm trying to set up a list of builds for retirement and this one should definitely keep be occupied for quite a while. Hopefully in the meantime I can locate a cowl and set of floats that will work. Anyone have recommendations? Largest I have so far are 36".
Cougar,
Great find on the kit. You can also get the cowl at tower hobbies for the GP Waco but the cost is 57.00
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXACKJ&P=7
I have a set of floats I had on a 1/4 scale Cub I'll have to see how big they are the top selection needs repairing you can have them for the cost of shipping.

Dan, thanks for the info on the cowl. I printed out the info and will check dimensions to compare. May work perfectly.

Sent a PM on the floats.

While measuring up for the floats I also had a boo at comparing the G/P cowl dimensions. For anyone inclined, while the OD is just slightly larger and may not be noticeable, the length is 1" less than the stock 1/5 Pica.

That could be built up, but would require some finish work and repainting to complete. Might be necessary if color matching anyway.

Hi brothers!

A while ago I wanted to do an update on my SRE thread but I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?
I've been making a lot of progress on my build and wanted to upload some photos...

Thanks,
Kim

Box arrived yesterday and I had a boo through the contents. Sure enough missing the cowl and I was able to locate a F/S replacement. No luck finding the cabanes in the box either. More important, the instructions are there, but plans are MIA. Hoping someone has a scan or spare copy of the 1/5 Pica sheets to know the layout, especially for ribs and formers.

Will decide when the build starts if I want to end up with a Twoholer and need to fab one or two windscreens.

Hi guys I have an unusual request. I can not procure L/H 3mm nuts in Australia, found them at Masters but they will not sell to me for some reason. Would anyone be willing to get them and send them off to me , of course I would pay you for
your assistance in this matter.

Regards tmac48 (terry McCleary.)

IT is kind of mind blowing to think that due to the internet we can converse so easily with strangers thousands of miles distant and at the same time build such a strong re-pore that some one you have never meet ( acerc Robert ) would go out of there way to help you when asked.
Robert thank you very much

It is my pleasure to help out one of my fellow hobbyist. In a way even though we have not met we are kind of like family, long distance as it may be.

The Waco has flown. The first flight needed a couple of clicks of down elevator, and the landing was not prefect, but the second flight, and I might add my second flight in 7 yrs was just a dream. A real nice handling airplane and the landing was a greaser. will post a link to the vid of the first flight (second flight was missed by my wife). The vid is not very good, will try to get a better one shortly
