Great Planes Patriot XL
Bill, I'm joining the wing halves of my Patriot XL. Well the wing joiner is v shaped so that will set the dihedral. What is the purpose of the TE jig at this point because the TE jig is not flat on the building table after inserting the wing joiner? The assembly of the wing halves from what I see is all set by the wing joiner. Any additional information I should know before glueing it tonight.
Thanks,
Jerry Chapman

The trailing edge jig is used to keep the wing in the proper configuration when you sheet the wing. After the wing is joined, you secure one panel to the plans, making sure it's jigged correctly, and then glue on the sheeting. Then do the other panel. Once the sheeting's glued, the wing is 'locked' so that it won't twist.
