Default Great Planes PT-60

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how many G's a PT-60 on high rates would pull? I need to know how much stress the center wing joint will be stress, I'm making a two piece wing. Thanks.

We're sorry, but we don't have any clue what the maximum 'G' load the Great Planes PT-60 would undergo on a hard pullout. About all we can say is that the prototype was put into a full-power dive and pulled out hard. The kit didn't break and all were happy with the result.

If you used a good-quality steel rod or blade for a joiner, with well-reinforced pockets in the wings, you'll likely have a wing as strong at the center joint as the stock one-piece wing.

Your best bet would be to wrap fiberglass tape or Kevlar tape/thread around the pockets and then use epoxy or poly resin on them.
