Default TF GS Corsair engine/cowl mount?

I seem to have gotten my engine mounted to close to the center line of the firewall causing it to come out of the cowl to far to the right. I can correct this problem by placing a 1/16" spacer on the right side of the engine between the firewall and engine. This pushes the nose cone to the left but only leaves aprox. 1 degree of right thrust. Will this cause handling problems during taxing and flight?

Default RE: TF GS Corsair engine/cowl mount?

You want the engine mounted so that it's slightly-offset on the firewall so that it has the right amount of thrusline offset and exits the cowl in the correct location. Reducing the designed amount of right thrust will mean that your rudder trim will change with throttle changes.

The plans DO show a slight offset of the engine mount with respect to the centerline of the firewall.
