I still fly mine here and there, and I might hook up with an Axe 400 if it turns out to fly anywhere near the advertised weight.

Just struck me as funny. Nothing more...
I still have my Mx400 - 450 rebuild jobby, Looks Like brand new, Dont fly it. It is a great decoration on my shelf. Never got anymore batteries for it.
Stepped up to the raptor 50 v2.

I love mine, flies like a dream. I am extremely happy although it was tough to set up, but it was worth it. I have the MX400 as well and the 450 is my fav so far.

Ya, I am funny like that.
I was the same way with all my Align stuff until I was continually messing with BS instead of flying them.

That just sounds like helis in general. I think the best flight is somewhere around #10 and then they go down hill. Or is it crash #5?

Yeah, that was why I threw in the possibility of crashes instead. I have a lot of flights on helis that are still doing well, but they haven't been smacked around like some of the others have.

Owwww.... I bet that gave it a vibe for sure
. Funny, I haven't managed to break the big helis yet. They really are that much easier to fly.

My Gosh, you have high expectations from your equipment. Im on 20 or so and just getting into the rythm. Took 5-6 just to get used to the characteristics of the heli.

Guess I should not mention that I have 3 TRexs, whoops it got out
Newest edition is a TR250.
My MX proved to me that heli can fly without something burning out. I will always keep my MX because it is a Align 430XL motor eater[sm=punching.gif]

When the heli is inverted at about 20 feet and the motor dies you're pretty much up sh*t creek. I was able to flip it right side up, but head speed was gone by that time so it was a free fall to Earth.

I don't know myself, I haven't flown an A400. The new Axe has plastic frames and a mostly plastic head, compared to the aluminum frames and head of the MX. However, it's also a newer design, so I don't know yet how they'll compare- I have plastic helis that are some of the best. The MX is a nice, smooth heli, still, if a little slow on the sticks.

Welcome, sarmeneau. I'm still flying mine occasionally, but not nearly as much as before. The parts are the main issue. Last time I was on Tower, the parts selection was getting a little scarce. I've heard of people going to lichann for them, but I've never ordered there so I don't have any experience with them - http://www.lichann.com.tw/index.php?...b97e57dad0f90c.
You can (generally) replace entire subsystems with Align bits, but individual parts won't interchange, with a few exceptions.
I don't think I'd advise the MX as a starter heli, since the parts aren't as readily available as they used to be, until you're able to consistently fly it without crashing regularly. I'd more likely go get two or three of the Hobby King HK450s, one for flying and the other as a quick source of parts
, and beat that up first. They're dirt cheap, so learning is worry-free.
