http://www.helimax-rc.com/helis/hmxe07-index.html
saw that 5 mins ago on their web site, i was very exited at first.. till i saw the heli.. i was hoping helimax would come up with a belt driven tail with the next axe version.. but no.. justa few more plastic part on the rotor and a dd tail
sad. the only good thing i see with that new version.. is a cheap way to go plastic bell-hiller head
oh well.. gotta w8 till next version to see if they will put out anything good.. not very impressed on that 1

I agree...I was hoping for a belt driven tail
I have the bell-hiller upgrade and I like it alot! Much better control of the heli.
The direct drive tail looks like the tail rotor is smaller so maybe less breaking it

mb it will break less due to the size and less mechanic parts.. but i also see helimax going the cheap route, tail case is less complex and requier less material, 2 bearing in less, 1 carbon shaft in less, 2 gear in less.. and finaly a smaller prop(less material).. all that should bring the cost of their tail to almost nothing.. :P personaly.. i dont like the look of that small prop on the tail.
saw the axe cpv3 on towerhobbies and the whole bell-hiller conversion will cost something around 9$ thats pretty cheap
the n60 will cost 3-4$ ?? hum

Hello Heli Max people .... Got to fly an AXE V3 yesterday 11/04/08 ( I own an AXE V2 that I have flown over 200 times - REALLY ) The new direct drive tail is very responsive and works great . The new head mixing feels good and the new controller with the pitch mixing allows you to tone down the machine for beginners as that is what this bird is for . RC HELI just rated it a 4.5 and a great entry heli for the money . The heli max has its problems as with any heli but it is cheap to fix and easy to work on !!! I have trained 2 people on helimax axe cp and they like them very much . I own axe cp v2 - 3 450 trexes - cypher 3d - belt cp - honey bee king - blade 400 and raptor g2 exceed . Happy Hovers - Sterling

i have the new axe cpv3 i have big problems with the tail roter staying on the shaft.i ordered one new motor its was for a axe cp.he told me it would work on a axe cpv3 he just had to take the pinon gear off.i put the new tail motor on now the tail props keep coming off.this is starting to get exspensive.i took it to the hobby shop the guy put a drop of crazy glue on it and it keeps coming off.i think the cpv3 motor is not the same as the cpv motor.any help? advise would help, thankyou.
