Default wagging/pulsing/oscillating tail - gyro problem?

Hi,

i've converted my AxeCP to the gyro setup after only a few flights - barely any flight time at all. I'm using the GY240 with a castle creations Pixie 7P ESC. The problem i'm getting is the tail just won't stay still - when overing the tail motor constantly increases/decreases, and the tail must rotate 15 degrees either side of center.

when i test the gyro without the main rotors spun up, the tail motor soons spins up to max RPM when the tail moves, and as soon as i return it to the original heading stops - the problem lays when i'm actually flying, and the tail is constantly pulsing/oscillating either side of "neutral".

i've tried different gain positions on the GY240 - around 50% seems about the most useful position, and the stock (and zero) position on the middle pot on the 3-in-1

i really dont think it's a bad tail motor, it hasn't had more than 10 flights, and the behavior hasn't changed since i first converted.

does anyone have any advise?
