Default Axe CP Issues

My Axe CP seems to have some issues, firstly, it jumps into the air which makes it somewhat uncontrolable when its in the air, secondly, i keep busting main heads, 2 in 3 days, not sure what to do?
Any help is appreciated.

Check for binding along the main shaft, where the center hub is and the slide block slides on the center hub. I had a cracked slide block and it would jump up about 3 feet.

For blades, I stopped using the woodies after 4 sets in less then an hour I went with these:\

They work for the AXE V2 with the bell hiller mods.

Thanks Dru, I managed to put it in the dirt hard today, new parts coming tomorrow, mostly top end parts, I think I have the pots all messed up, I think I have the bottom two ok, but the top one I have no idea. i thought I could just turn it all the way one way, then the other and set it in the middle, but it seems to turn continually?

You have to look VERY close and you will see a very small contact point. It makes it a little bit easier if you magnify it with a good magnifying glass.'' When you find it, mark it with a pen so you dont loose it againi.

I ended up using all my own radio gear. it helped out a lot. I do not have to worry about adjusting the 3 in 1 all the time.

The 3 in 1's pot(s) should NOT rotate more than about 270 deg. (~3/4 rotation).

If it is turning continuously, something is wrong.

r_wiliams, I have (4) of the 3 in 1's and only one will only turn 270 degrees. The rest will spin all the way around. that is one of the reasons I went with all separate items on mine.

Yep. I used my RD6000 Tx, Rx, GY240 gyro, 25 amp ESC, (4) HS55 servos and a home made belt drive conversion for my AXE. You can use a HBKII's tail on the AXE with a few mods. It fits right on there and holds the tail like a bigger helicopter does. There is a LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG thread on RCG. My posts are on page 446 or there abouts.
