Default Rumor of HS5125 gears failing

Mike, I had heard that there were some gear failures on HS5125 servos. I don't know if this is just a rumor. I understand that you can get anything to fail with enough force. But are there failures because of a faulty gear set?

Default RE: Rumor of HS5125 gears failing

We have seen some failures but it is primarily from overstress, not a faulty gear design. Many people are using these in DS (Dynamic soaring) planes which exceed 200mph. Currently they are the top choice on the market but they still have their limits.

Mike.
