Default Eclipse7 and dual rates

Hi Mike,

First off, I love my Eclipse.
I am, unfortunately, having some difficulty with the dual-rate switches. I set up the aileron and elevators switches, back = 50%, forward = 100%. All seems fine. But then I go to use the dual rates and sometimes the settings "stick".

For example. Turn on radio w/ switches back, ground check my airplane, switch the aileron dual rate switch forward (100%), but it doesn't "take". Throws stay at 50%. Hmmmm.... play with the sticks some more, toggle the Ail DR switch a couple times and voila.... now DR works as advertised. I would assume I have a bad DR switch, but it happens on all 3 DR channels (Ail, Ele, Rud).

1- Am I the only person seeing this?
2- Is this somehow user error? (wouldn't be the 1st time I messed up)

Thanks for your impressive customer service.

Very curious!

Haven't heard that one before. I suggest you clear another model memory and start from scratch programming in your plane, then see if the same thing occurs. If it does, I guess we need that Tx back so our crack service department can fix it up for you.

Default Same problem

Same problem with the exception it is occurs on the aileron and rudder channel. Discovered this morning, on checking the DR screen I could not set or change the curser from high to low but still functions for the elevator channel. I am using 'V' mix for Q-500 but have not experianced this with four other racers. I willsend the unit back as soon as possible.

thanks
John

Default Embarassed to Say

The non fuctioning rudder rate switch on my eclipse has been resolved happily and it was my fault. Good thing I did some more checking before packing it up. Being a heavy Prism 7 user a bunch of my pylon ships are on the Prism's and only two on the Eclipse, well in the heat of a forced change to a backup in mid event which was on the eclipse, I had brain fade with the two radios having rudder rate in entirely different positions. Also the apparent intermitant aileron rate loss was a result of confussion under pressure and a simple misplacement of the curser.

This may be a similar situation to Daves problem above. At any rate (pun intended) all is right with the world and I have sent some 555's back for repair, I still fantasize about getting through a race season without loseing a ship.
