Default 5995tg programming

Okay my temper is taking a turn for the worst.
I have a brand new 5995, a recently updated Hpf10.

When I program the endpoints as suggested by Mike I can only get 50 degrees of travel no matter what I do.
The other puzzle is that the manual test will only center, the left and right buttons do not work.
If I reset the servo then you get 180 degrees however the L and R still do not work.
Fail safe is off.
Servo works when I connect it to the reciever but with the limitations as noted.
I tried the same procedure with a 5945 and everything works.

Lastly when I go full travel setting up the epa the programmer reboots.

I got it to full throws by dialing in pull right and left but I still have the other problems however it seems to work like normal in every other instance.

Well I just got a new 5955 and tried it on the programmer so what is up with the other one? The 5995 will not let me test tyhe endpoints using maual mode in the programmer.

Sounds like your programmer may have a problem. I am aware of one case that resulted in the reboot you mention after it was updated however it was not associated with full travel. Is the battery fully charged? Is the servo binding at full travel?

Are you exclusively using the left-right buttons to move the servo? What about the knob? The left-center-right buttons can only be used once and it moves the servo to 900-1500-2100us, after you push one of these buttons and the servo moves you'll have to push the "input" button one time to clear it and the function will work again one time. Other than that I use the knob to move the servo around.

Michael, I have had this programmer since they first came out and had it updated last month I think.
The behavior I described is only happening with the 5995. I have tried a 5945 and a 5955 both work correctly. The servo responds to the knob but not the buttons. Same in auto when you can normally get them to sweep.
If I reset the servo then it works but goes back to 180 throws. However I was advised to limit the throws so as not to reduce resolution.
I have checked my programming on another servo and it seems fine.
If you push the buttons it will not go to 900 or 2100 put another servo on it and bam it goes there and center no problems.
My LHS ordered it by mistake, maybe I should see about changing it although he normally will not do it.

The servo works fine when connected to a radio system

I'll get a few 5955 and see what I can discover. My programmer works as I described with a 5945, I reassured myself previous to my last post. I did not try a 5955 at that time. I don't have a 5995.

I agree with turning down the travel arc volume, 60 degrees is most desirable but you have to have the right linkage ratio to realize full travel and a linear response from the TX through to the servo. Also your ATV or End-Points should be nearly maxed out. Best setup is realized with programming the servos to the TX and model specific linkage and deflection needs.

Thanks.
Like I said the 5945 and the 5955 both seem to work okay just as they always have as I initially thought I had messed up the edpoint adjustment but it seems to be specific to the one servo and it works okay in every other way just dont know that I trust it on my H9 330. Whats your thoughts...maybe swap it out for the 5955?
