Default Programmer problems

I have a recently updated programmer with some issues on the "Program reset" function.
After pressing the input button and it does its search. It won't allow me to press the UP/L and DN/R buttons to reset the servo to factory default. If it does allow me to reset, the servo does not move to one extreme, then the other as the instruction states.

Second issue is the "Endpoint" fuction. After setting the endpoints to have 40 degrees of throw or (plus or minus 100 on the programmer) up and down on my ailerons. I disconnected the servo from the programmer and connected it to the receiver. When i use my transmitter to move the surfaces, i only get about 25 degrees of throw. I have the travel set at 150% on my JR 8103 radio. Even if i lower the travel to 120%, it doesnt change a thing.

Am i doing something wrong?

Thanks
Smokey
