Default Afraid to fly with my Hitec Eclipse 7

I have owned a Hitec Ecpipse 7 with spectra module for about 4 years now, and up until this past week I've been totaly confident in this radio and it's performance.
I have built 4 brand new ARF kits this past winter. An H-9 Twist 60, H-9 Ultrastick 40, Great Planes Reactor 47, And a Great planes Giant U-Can-Do-3D. All planes contain brand new components, from the engines to the Rx's, Batteries, servo's, connectors, and chrystals. All Radio equipment is Hitec, yet for some reason all of my planes start to jitter with the Eclipse 7 (Antena up or down doesn't matter) I wanted to do the test flight on the Giant U-Can-Do, but I have over $ 1000.00 invested in this plane alone and the way it's jittering I'm afaid to. I just dont have the confidence in the Eclipse that I used to. Does anybody have any Ideas ?

Thanks

George

Jittering at short range is perfectly normal. Including my own Eclipse I've used since 2002. A proper range check at 75-100' w/o jitter should be able to put your mind at ease. Of course, having it checked professionally would be even better.

range tested at 40' and it was still jittering, the worst was the Twist 60, the flight controls were bouncing all over the place.

Hello George,

Please send the transmitter in for service and we'll check it out for you. I have attached a service form to this post.

Also have you tried this on your older planes to see if it’s jittering as well?

At the moment everything is jittering, including aircraft that were fine before.

I feel your pain!!!! My Eclipse 7 would jitter also, but I never had any problems.....until one day. I've been flying my Slow P-51 for 2 years without issues. Total confidence. Then all of a sudden she has no control and BAM... into the parking lot and 1000 pieces. Lost everything, motor, plane, a few servos etc... Worst of all, that was my favorite plane and no longer made. This was last summer and I haven't used it for a plane since....However I do use it for my GWS Dragonfly Heli. It's been working without a problem.....but to put it back in a gas plane....I just can't trust it! I had the HPD-07RH QPCM when it went down. I'm using a cheap GWS reciever now. I checked everything out but could never find why she went down. After crash, the reciever started working again, so it was a temp. thing. I thought of sending it back, but last time I sent it in, it took about 2 months to fix and now with it being intermitant...is it worth sending in? Been seriously thinking about a Spectrum or Futaba 2.4 GHZ. I was lucky no one was hurt and I only Damaged my plane. I could've killed someone!

Hello,

If you would like to send it in we will take a look at it for you. We are sorry if it did take 2 months last time you send it in. We normally try to get everything turned around in a timely manner.
