Default Programming question

I have a Futaba 9C and a Hitec programmer and plan to program my Hitec 5985 digital servos. My question is, do I or should I set the ATV on my transmitter to say 120% first, then program the end points and so forth of the servos? Or just leave my 9C at 100% ATV. I am planning on setting it up for 3D throws, then dialing it down for the regular flying.

Leave Futaba TX at factory setting otherwise you may overdrive the servos.
