Default Which servos for which planes?

Hey Mike,

Nice place you have here.
My question - is there a website that lists the recommended servos for various weights of planes and/or flight controls for those planes? Right now I'm into 40 size planes and I understand that any "standard" servo should be fine, but on the Hitec website I noticed for the regular flight pack, HS422 servos were offered, and it said this pack is fine for 4 lb. planes. Soon, I will be doing a few kits which will weight a little more - 1 around 6 or 7 lbs. the other around 10. Whereas, much of this information is sometimes listed on the kit, most of the time however, I think it is exchanged word of mouth. I also realize that some of this info. depends on very specific applications. Is there a webpage which lists this type of information? What are your suggestions for me gaining this information?

Thanks For Your Time,
Tom

Go to: http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/eflight/calcs_servo.htm

It will give you an idea about how much torque you will need for a particular application.

Mike.
